With small black on black controls and a hard to open case, this unit is a disaster. Plays nice, but what good is that when you can’t put in a CD or operate the controls?

Yes, it looks cool – it sounds good and works well, but what were these Sony engineers thinking? The controls are practically invisible. The beveled edge of the unit make the buttons unreadable. Opening the unit to insert a new disc requires picking up the unit to slide the latch over. If you plan to use this as a table top player – such as on your nightstand, forget it! Look at another model. But, the sound is clear and true, the bass controlled.
